Stabilizer (cyanuric acid) is used in chlorine swimming pools. It acts as a layer between the UV of the sun and the chlorine in the pool, to extend the life of the chlorine. Usually only needs balancing once per year, based on testing. Apply with a skimmer sock to slow dissolve through the skimmer basket into the water.
